As the winter lingers on, when the alder boughs are bare, we light our torches and garnish the hall. Players, poets, fighters, fencers, and fools! Weather Update: As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, NOAA is predicting snow likely tonight, 1-3 inches accumulation possible, but ending at 1:00 a.m. Saturday. Only light flurries are predicted for Saturday, ending early in the day. The site is accessible via major (4 lane until the last few blocks) roads that will be plowed quickly. Come on over and enjoy the event!

Alderford fighter practice and fundraiser for Debforgail

Alderford will be holding a fighter practice on Jan 20 from noon until 5:00 p.m. at St John's Church in Canton. This will be open to all the populace of the barony to come and socialize or work on crafts as well. In order to help with medical expenses for Debforgail, we are asking for a $5 donation, but please give what you are able.

Armour Guild & Fight Practice

Open armouring in Justin's workshop, and an armored combat fight practice in the yard (or garage, if weather inclement). Rapier fighters also welcome if a Rapier Marshal attends. Einar will be leading the fight practice, Justin the armouring.

Melee in Roswell: A Very Civil War

Join the Marche of Alderford at Melee at Roswell (formerly Oaken Melee School) as we host "discussions" between Their Excellencies of Brendoken and the Middle Marches. After last year's collaboration to fend off the Duchy of Lozengy, there's the matter of whether or not taxes are owed.

Relay for Life Demo

Alderford and guests will be participating in this overnight fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which we will combine with an SCA demo. We will show up in garb, set up at least one pavilion, and build a campfire for bardic and socializing. We'll take turns walking the track as part of the Relay.
